Vacant Commercial Floorspace Figures

A simple to use database that provides information on vacant commercial floorspace in the local authority areas of Southampton, Eastleigh, New Forest, Test Valley and Winchester (The Region).

Data is available from 2001 for the areas of Southampton, Eastleigh, New Forest and Test Valley and 2002 for Winchester and is broken down into factories and warehouses, offices and shops.

To use the database simply follow two steps

Step 1

Put in the date you require - as an example like this 01/04/04 or like this 1 April 2004.

Step 2

Select the local authority area and press continue.

The data is shown in sq m. The figures in under offer are also included in the vacant space figure.

Total commercial floorspace figures are available from National Statistics. Go to the 'I want to view or download data by topic' section and choose 'physical environment' and you will see a list of various statistics, including Commercial and Industrial Floorspace and Rateable Value Statistics. To pick any of the topics, put a mark in the circle next to the one you want under 'select' then click 'next'.
