Sweet Treats for Winchester

Acting on behalf of private Landlord Goadsby have successfully completed a letting of 27 City Road,Winchester to The Sweet Treat Company, a traditional confectionary shop set up as a new venture.

Proprietors, Mr & Mrs K. Price, have taken a new 5 year lease of the 505 Sq Ft retail unit and Mr Price stated “We are very much looking forward to launching our new sweet shop in Winchester. This retail unit is perfect for our needs, with numerous period features. We hope to stir nostalgia with the many jars of old fashioned sweets on display and excite younger customers with the kind of sweet shop they may have never seen before.”

Will Blockley of Goadsby comments that “it is just two months since we were instructed to let this property and to complete a letting in such a short period shows that despite concerns over the economy there is a still a good demand for small retail units within Winchester. Although we are marketing several High Street shops we have noticed that secondary retail positions are drawing a considerable amount of interest.”
