King Sturge anniversary year delivers record charity fundraising
14 Febuary 2011
King Sturge have completed their charity appeal, celebrating their 250th anniversary having raised a staggering £550,000 for national and local charities. The companies nominated charities Orchid, the Children’s Trust and the Southampton branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind have been allocated much needed funds as the year long venture comes to an end.
Michael Green, partner-in-charge of King Sturge Southampton commented “This really has been an amazing effort by our clients and staff across the UK and Europe”.
He added “We aimed to galvanise the property industry in an effort to use our anniversary as an opportunity to really make a difference. A huge range of initiatives and imaginative thinking went into this effort, from balloon, flights, abseiling, sky dive’s, sponsored cycle rides around the UK and arranging the 3rd largest Triathlon in Europe, attracting 2200 entries from across the property world. We are very proud of this achievement in the face of very difficult economic conditions, which always makes fund-raising more challenging
King Sturge can also announce plans to continue raising funds this year for Macmillan Cancer Support and Guide Dog’s for the Blind.
