Runway to Success for Southampton Airport

Southampton has been voted the UK’s 2nd favourite airport in a prestigious consumer survey of nearly 3,000 regular travellers.

It beat off nearest rival Newcastle, but was pipped to the top spot by London City Airport, which was voted the Top UK Airport by readers of Wanderlust magazine.

Based on customer satisfaction over the past year, readers of the UK’s leading adventure travel magazine voted on their travel experiences over the last year.

Wanderlust Top UK Airport finalists were: 1. London City 2. Southampton 3. Newcastle 4. Bristol 5. Exeter 6. Leeds 7. Birmingham 8. Liverpool 9. Edinburgh 10. Belfast City.

If Southampton was grouped into the Worldwide Airport category it would have come sixth, beating Munich, Copenhagen and Schiphol, amongst others, with a customer satisfaction rating of 83.75%.
