Media grants from Skillset

New Skillset scheme to improve diversity in media industries.

Applications to the Skillset Open Door Awards are now open. The scheme offers talented individuals a grant to make a short film, produce a radio programme or design and build a website. Successful applicants will also receive high quality industry training, work experience, mentoring and guidance to launch their careers.

The Skillset Open Door Awards are designed to improve diversity and applications from currently under represented groups within the audio visual industries, including women, people with disabilities and black and minority ethnic individuals, are particularly encouraged.

The closing date for applications is Friday 19th May 2006.
