Energy Efficiency Road Show - the importance and benefits of being energy efficient
18 August 2006:
The Energy Efficiency road show is designed to inform employees about the importance and benefits of being energy efficient in their homes. Qualified Energy Advisors give advice on how they can save up to £200 on their domestic fuel bills by implementing energy saving measures. The event therefore aims to encourage employees to adopt similar measures in the work place through raising personal awareness of energy efficiency.
The Road show offers:
- A FREE low energy light bulb worth £60 saving over a 6 years lifespan to each employee that fills in a Home Energy Check questionnaire.
- Home Energy Checks. This is in the form of a questionnaire, which leads to a report tailored to the individual’s home. It identifies action points for saving energy and money in the home and provides information on grants and help available.
- Impartial advice from qualified Energy Advisors on how to be more energy efficient around the home. We also offer advice on grants and discounts available to help people install energy efficiency measures. Information on renewable energy systems is also available.
The company will benefit from a report detailing the success of the day and the savings that employees are likely to have achieved. This can be distributed to staff, letting them know how they have played their part in saving energy, money and the environment. This service would be particularly beneficial to those companies accredited to, or seeking accreditation to ISO14001.
Raising energy efficiency awareness amongst employees can help you to improve your business environmental performance and lead to significant savings. Potentially your fuel bill can be slashed by 15%.
