A series of Free Local Business Advice Roadshows will be taking place this Autumn and Winter across Hampshire starting with Brockenhurst College on Wednesday 25th October from 3.00-6.00pm.

The full list of roadshows taking place across the County is as follows:

Wednesday 24January 2007 - The Lights, Andover

Thursday 22 February 2007 - Basingstoke College

Wednesday 30 May 2007 - Eastleigh College

These Local Business Advice Roadshows are designed for small and medium sized companies and anyone thinking about starting their own business, they bring together under one roof over 30 local government agencies and non-commercial suppliers of essential business support.

So, why not come along and find out about your legal obligations, learn about recent developments and obtain endless help and advice in a relaxed and friendly environment? This is your opportunity to have those ‘been meaning to ask’ questions answered in one quick and easy visit.

Although you are advised to pre-book, the event will operate a ‘drop-in’ structure meaning that you’re free to attend at any point throughout the afternoon and at a time convenient to you.

Seminars
In addition to the main exhibition area, this year's Roadshow will see a series of 3 seminars running alongside. At just 30 minutes in length, these seminars are designed to be short and snappy.

Seminar Topics will be:

This seminar will provide an opportunity to learn the key factors to ensure that your business gets off to the right start. Your 5 top tips will cover the vital components to aid the smooth running of your company in the early months.

4:30 pm - Marketing without a budget:
Regardless of the size of your company and your marketing budget, getting yourself known and creating sales is vital. In this seminar you’ll learn the ways in which you can focus your marketing (online or offline) to achieve supreme results with little or no budget.

5:30pm - VAT: What's that? The pros and cons of being registered:
Growing your business to be VAT registered or doing so voluntarily can have numerous benefits which will help with the management and day to day running of finances within your company. This seminar explains the free help and advice available as well as outlining the payback it can have for your business.
