The Wild Group is coming home to Hamble

*25 July 2011

Acting on behalf of AC English Developments, Goadsby are please to report another letting at South Point, Ensign Business Park in Hamble.

Following the letting of unit 1 to Yacht Catering Company and with the opening of The Flying Boat Deli week commencing 18th July, the neighbouring unit 2, comprising 1,410 sq ft ground floor warehouse and 1,410 offices has now exchanged contracts as well, with fit out works starting on site immediately.

Unit 2 has been let to The Wild Group, the award-winning specialist branding company that began life in a spare bedroom in Hamble, and has now expanded to relocate from their current premises in Shamrock Quay. Occupation at South Point is planned for August 2011.

“After a couple of years away from Hamble it feels like we are coming home as this is where we began,” said Wild Group Director Greg Hoar.

“It’s the right time to move with the business continuing to grow. We are all very excited with the prospects of the new office,” he added.

From humble Hamble beginnings, The Wild Group received international attention after it was commissioned to livery Tracey Edwards’ 92ft catamaran Royal Sun Alliance ahead of her all-female crew’s attempt on the round-the-world record in 1997.

In 2004 the company was the sole supplier of all hull and sail branding for the Olympic Games in Greece. Earlier this year, The Wild Group picked up a top award at the prestigious Sign & Digital Awards for its work creating a digitally branded sail as part of 20th Century Fox’s promotion of its blockbuster film The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

The Wild Group will be close to its maritime roots at South Point. Ryan English of English Developments said: "We are very pleased to have agreed the letting to The Wild Group. They are expanding as a business year by year into all areas of marketing, branding, events and design.

"Their initial focus began with the marine industry and with the current occupiers on South Point being within that sector, it makes for a very suitable location for them."

The South Point scheme, developed by AC English Developments provides two prestige office buildings fronting Ensign Way offering space from 1,500 to 4,500 sq ft, fitted out to a high quality finish with carpets, suspended ceilings, LG3 lighting, air conditioning and perimeter trunking. The first of these suites has been successfully let to High Modulus, a leader in composite technology and structural engineering services for the marine industry.

Two further terraces of mixed use industrial/office buildings with B1 consent are also available, however, occupiers have to move fast as with units 1 and 2 now let, Goadsby have also placed in solicitors hands units 3 & 4, leaving available only unit 5, comprising 2,280 sq ft and units 6 & 7 which offer 5,314 sq ft each over two floors.
