Plans for a major development near Mayflower Theatre

Plans for a residential development with a significant amount of affordable housing has been submitted to Southampton City Council.

Atlantic Housing And Mayflower Theatre Trust Ltd has submitted a planning application for the erection of an eight-ten storey building to the south of the Mayflower Theatre on Commercial Road. The new building will contain 115 flats comprising of 7 one-bedroom and 108 two-bedroom apartments; 65% will be allocated for affordable housing.

The development also includes a four-storey 1,701 sq m office building along with an extension to the Mayflower Theatre and associated landscaping and parking.
