Atisreal UK becomes BNP Paribas Real Estate
1 June 2009
As announced earlier this year, leading European property adviser Atisreal has now rebranded to BNP Paribas Real Estate in the UK, as part of the company’s strategy to have one single global brand across Europe, Middle East and India. The agent now becomes the fourth largest by turnover in Europe and eighth globally.
Thanks to this unique brand, BNP Paribas Real Estate intends to better serve its clients internationally and locally, acting as a single global real estate multi-specialist provider. This brand change should also facilitate cross-selling and interaction with the international network of BNP Paribas.
As BNP Paribas Real Estate, the full range of services offered to clients is much more visible and the size and breadth of the company is clear. BNP Paribas Real Estate offers every real estate service via its six international business lines: valuation, consulting, transaction, property management, investment management and property management. The property development part of the business is unique for a commercial real estate adviser and, already a market leader in France, may be able to take on selected projects in other parts of Europe.
The rebrand also opens up the opportunity to provide more integrated real estate and financial advice to major clients of BNP Paribas. In addition, the distinctive Real Estate brand and the company’s ability to manage potential conflicts of interest allows BNP Paribas Real Estate to continue to offer independent property advice to its wide range of investor and corporate clients in sectors such as banking, logistics, retail and utilities.
Mark England, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate in the UK, comments: “Rebranding gives us the best of both worlds: we are able to leverage from the strength of an internationally renowned and respected brand, and also maintain our independence as a property advisory company with our own unique brand.”
“I strongly believe that becoming BNP Paribas Real Estate gives us the platform to be one of the top global players in a market where further consolidation is inevitable. It also opens up other international locations, and provides a much clearer and more visible service offering to our clients”
BNP Paribas Real Estate recently announced strong 2008 results with fees of more than €660 million and profits of €138 million. BNP Paribas announced profits of €3 billion in 2008, was awarded the ‘Global Bank of the Year 2008’ accolade by The Banker magazine and is one of the six strongest banks in the world according to Standard & Poor’s.
