The Yacht Harbour Association is delighted to announce that following a recent assessment ABP Southampton Town Quay has been awarded 4 Gold Anchors.
Set in the heart of Southampton’s docks, the marina is a short walk to the centre of town with all the amenities, restaurants and bars that Southampton has to offer.
The marina currently has 130 berths with a good mix of boat types and sizes. Their staff are smartly dressed, with a very high level of customer service. Regular security patrols are carried out and the team offer 24/7 berthing assistance.
Their manager, Lex Bancroft, is a keen environmentalist and follows the Green Blue principles wherever possible. All possible recycling is offered at the marina.
The marina scored very highly on their berth holder questionnaires and the mystery shop also produced top marks. With this excellent customer feedback, well trained and motivated staff Town Quay Marina is proving to be a very popular marina.
‘We are delighted to have received 4 gold anchors from TYHA and it is testament to my team to receive such a high rating for a marina this size” Says Lex Bancroft, Marina Manager. “The investment last winter has enabled us to rejuvenate the marina, creating a vibrant and welcoming environment to moor a boat in the city center. Being a small marina we are able to offer a genuinely personal service and we continue to strive to offer the best possible customer experience we can.
With four gold anchors, we are proud to sit alongside some of the best marinas in the country.’
TYHA’s assessor was pleased to see the transformation that had taken place over the last two years since Lex Bancroft joined the team.
Well done to all the team at ABP Southampton Town Quay.
